Job Description

We’re seeking a skilled JavaScript/TypeScript developer proficient in both Next.js and Nest.js, with a strong understanding of backend development. Your primary focus will involve crafting user interface components for Next.js and developing backend services with Nest.js. Ensuring the reliability and maintainability of these components and the broader application will be paramount. Collaboration with diverse stakeholders and team members will be crucial, underscoring your dedication to cooperative troubleshooting, refined design, and top-notch deliverables across both frontend and backend environments.

Responsibilities

• Developing new user-facing features using next.js
• Building reusable components and front-end libraries for future use
• Translating designs and wireframes into high-quality code
• Design and implement the server-side architecture of the web/mobile applications and public APIs including data storage, and AI services to ensure that the website can later scale to large amounts of traffic and data.
• Write clean and extensible Typescript code
• Identify the potential risks while developing a platform and make sure that these risks will be addressed first
• Implement best practices to ensure that the applications can be efficiently tested and debugged, to ensure they work as expected across multiple devices and browsers
• Collaborate with client’s in-house development team
• Work closely with product management, design, research and engineering teams to deliver high-quality and user-friendly products

Who you are

Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in computer science, engineering or related subject is preferred. Verbal and written technical communication is needed. You should be experienced with the technologies and concepts below:

• Experience with Typescript/JavaScript, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model
• Understanding of next.js, its core principles, and best practices
• Familiarity with modern front-end build pipelines and tools
• Passion about building great, enjoyable products
• Frontend and backend experience, including working in a highly scalable environment with complex release workflows
• Experience and strong interest in AI, e.g.: to speed up application development
• Able to write comprehensive technical documentation
• Proven ability to work in both rapid prototyping mode and to ship/maintain large-scale products
• Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements
• A knack for benchmarking and optimization
